This is intermediate level course is a continuation of using the art of beautiful handwriting to praise God and experience quietude, stillness and divine love through meditative writing of Holy Scripture. Principles of lay-out and design for calligraphy will be taught to facilitate the writing out of Scripture for comfort, healing, and lay ministry. Basic familiarity with one style of calligraphy is the only pre-requiste. All materials will be provided. Plrease bring several favorite, short Bible passages.
INSTRUCTOR: CYNTHIA HENRICHCynthia Henrich is an experienced calligrapher and Third Order Franciscan Sister. She holds a BA and an MA in Art and Education. Her artistic aspirations are "to express joy, beauty and inspiration of holy writ and natural forms and
to lead others in doing the same."
RESIDENT FEE
$499 includes three nights lodging, meals, materials, and use of tools.
COMMUTER FEE
$399 includes program materials and two meals daily.
