Fr. Eric Carpine has been a Franciscan friar since 1967, and an ordained priest since 1975.  After ordination, Fr. accepted his first major assignment as a home missionary in the south.  He spent 12 years there involved in various ministries of the Franciscans from campus ministry, to pastoral work in parishes in Greenville, SC, Bainbridge and Atlanta, GA.  In 1987 he began a successful preaching career on the devotion to St. Jude while pursuing a Master’s Program in Social Work.  Fr. Eric moved to Providence, RI where he became the Director of St. Francis Counseling Center and a counselor and psychotherapist.
