Fr. Tom entered the Society of St. Edmund in June of 1971.  He professed religious vows on August 22, 1972.  He was a student at St. Michael’s College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974.  In 1977, he received his Masters of Divinity from the University of St. Michael’s College, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  In 1978, he received a Master of Arts degree in Religion and Religious Education from Fordham University in Bronx, NY.  In June, 1985 Fr. Tom received a PhD in Higher Education Administration from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI.  Fr. Tom was ordained to the priesthood on May 13, 1978.  Fr. served in St. Catherine’s Parish, Blauvelt, NY from 1977-78.  Fr. Tom served in campus ministry, 1978 to 1980 at Trinity College, Burlington, VT.  Father served in other parishes and campus ministry until 1993 when he came to St. Edmund’s Retreat, Enders Island, Mystic, CT where he still resides.  While here at St. Edmund’s Retreat, Father Tom has been the Retreat Director, Director of Development, Director of St. Edmund’s Retreat and from 2003 to the present is the President of St. Edmund’s Retreat.  Father Tom is also instrumental in the establishment of the St. Michael’s Institute of Sacred Art and brought it to a profitable standing here at Enders Island.
