Days or Evenings of Recollection

What a difference a day can make!

Several years ago, while relaxing at his summer residence, Pope John Paul II reflected on the value of "getting away from it all" for a while.

"How often [people] are stressed because of the pace [of modern life], especially in large cities," he said to a crowd that gathered to join him in praying the Angelus. "How difficult it is to find a quiet place and relaxing atmosphere to enjoy intimacy, to talk and express the needs and plans that each one has!"

"The real challenge," the Holy Father concluded, "is to safeguard interior harmony so that the rhythm of daily life will always have the supernatural dimension that each one of us needs."

Make some time for yourself and for God.

Enjoy the beauty and peace of Enders Island; share good food, good company and good words as you find the "quiet place" to appreciate the love God has for you and yours.

Meet God in a new and unexpected way on a day of recollection at St. Edmund's Retreat.
