Born in the United States in 1950 Michael SULLO is the grandson of Samuel Laporta, the Italian artist best known for his portraits and trompe l'oeil work in Italy. His mother Jane Laporta - Sullo an artist and his father Anthony Sullo encouraged their son and apprenticed him to Samuel Laporta at age 5. Through his school years Michael won many awards and accolades.

In 1973 Dr  Sullo was granted a degree in design and worked for several years as a technical illustrator. In 1974, he opened his first design studio located in the Greenwich /Stamford area of Connecticut. Among his clients were major corporations: Universal oil products, Pitney Bowes, as well as individuals, Dr. Richard Hart of kabi group international , and Fay Dunnaway movie actress. Dr Sullo also holds a Ph.D in engineering and architecture.

Now in his fifth decade of Art and design he has evolved into one of the most creative living artists of the 21^st century. Showing the wit of Botero , the ease of  Erta , and the technical know-how of Titian. Dr. Sullos  personality blossoms forth in his work

Indeed Dr. Sullos original paintings are fast becoming T.H.E.collectibles of the 21st century. And it has been said that Dr. Michaels Sullo will be known as the first important Italian- American artist of this century
