In Matthew 12:1-8, the apostles are going through the field on the Sabbath picking and eating grain because they are hungry. The Pharisees saw this and rebuked Jesus for this action on the holy day. Jesus responds that some rules do not take into account certain needs which leave open an exception to the rule. It is hard for some people today to apply the rule in their own lives. Rules are black and white applications for some and not seen as guidelines for good order. Are people important factors in our lives that we care about them.
