Sister Eugenia Brady, a member of the International Missionary Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Cluny, was born in Ireland in County Clare.  After her first profession, Sister was missioned to Wilmington and Torrance, California where she ministered as an educator and religious educator as well as organist and choir director in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles for twenty five years.  Certified as a Master Catechist, Sister joined others in training catechists for the Religious Education Programs around the Archdiocese.

 

Sister taught at Cluny School in Newport, Rhode Island and also served as DRE at Christ the King Parish.  Sister then transferred to Fall River, Massachusetts as Associate Director of Religious Education.  Sister Eugenia served as Superior and member of the Provincial Team in the Cluny Congregation.

 

Sister Eugenia has been a member of the St. Edmund's Retreat Staff for more than 15 years. Her roles have included Retreat and Spiritual Director. Sr. conducts retreats at the Nazareth Spiritual Life Center in Monroe, Connecticut as well as other retreat centers from time to time.  She follows the call to minister to the spiritual needs of many religious communities and parishes up and down the East Coast.

 

Sister Eugenia has been qualified as a "Body, Mind and Spirit Healing Coach" By the Johnson Institute, as well as attending workshops towards certification in the Johnson Institute for Spiritual Gerontology - "The Spiritual Developmental Tasks of the Renewal Years", "The Twelve Keys to Spiritual Vitality".   Also, she has successfully completed several "Elder Religious and Diocesan Priests" weeklong workshops.

 

Sister Eugenia is a certified Spiritual Director and a member of Spiritual Directors' International.  She has degrees in Education, Music, and Religious Studies - Spirituality Theology and Scripture.

 

As a Moderator of the Council of Catholic Women for the Fall River Diocese, Sister is a board member and Spiritual Advisor to the Group.  She is also a Spiritual Advisor for the Confraternity of Penitents, and writes a monthly article for their newsletter.

 

Sister Eugenia lives in Newport, Rhode Island and travels from there to answer the calls of ministry.
